Grade 7...

So I am in Grade 7. I actually can't believe it.... My teachers name is Mr. Chubey. He is nice... I have Maddie, Caisia and Cortni in my class.... I am pretty glad about that... i am just sad that Lexy isn't in my class. For the guys, I have Eric in my class. I would have LOVED it if my whole group from last year, was in my class. Which Nolan, Braeden and Garrett would have been in. I really miss all of us hanging out... I'm just glad Eric is... I think we are going to get closer than ever.... Maybe? I don't know... Nolan doesn't really talk to me any more so..... Yeah... :( I think I lost one of my friends... Miss Olson if your reading this... Even in the first couple days of school.... So much has happened... :) Wanted to say I miss ya!

We're Done Already...

I can't believe that we are done school and swimming already... I can't stand it... Like at all... I am already bored with nothing really to do... Is living on a farm easier? Is there more stuff to do? In town all I can do is go on the Internet and surf YouTube, go on my email and maybe go to the Kinsmen every once and a while... It seems like anytime I want to hang out with someone they aren't home or I am going somewhere... I really miss all my friends... * swimming and school * So in this post I am just going to be random and just spill things....

I have only been swimming 2 years competitively.
I ripped my suit in practise and didn't realize until 3/4 of the way through practise.
I am a pig when it comes to food.
I have done pretty bad things in my life.
I don't like cheese except on pizza...
I watch the Family channel every once and a while.
I get bored so easily... *as you can see*
I get really sad about small things.
I hate the song Gives You Hell...

I never got to Mention this!!!

I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS!!! I didn't mention that I had a swim meet lately! I can't believe that. It was a meet that had 5 meets in one! It was really cool. Some of the best parts were that:

• Steph and all the other girls told Ryan (aka Meatloaf, Illegal Funnybone or whatever else we decide to call him) that I liked him... Thanks by the way...
• I did really good, but I am still mad that I got disqualified in my Backstroke.
• And... KRYSTAL MADE THE TEAM SASK TEAM!!! I cried for 15 minutes straight!

Haunted Belle Plaine....

Okay, so on the weekend I went to Belle Plaine, Saskatchewan for a sleepover with Lexy. We got sorta board so we decided to look around town at the places we thought were haunted. W e came up with a couple places. The most haunted ones that we thought were the Tea House and The Hall. We made a bunch of videos for my account on YouTube. The videos were called The Taylor Twin Mysteries. It was soooo much fun! The one part weird part of the whole thing though was... If I went near a house that we thought was haunted I got bit by some random bug! I know that can happen anywhere but the part I didn't get was that if I took a couple steps away... The bugs would go away. The bites vanished. Haven't seen them since I left Belle Plaine.

Oh, ya know how I was really scared? Watching Stephan King's IT after our hunt didn't help any. It's about this "it", he can turn into whatever kids like and them he like eats them or something... It was really scary but weird. My mom says that Stephan King is just plain weird so... ya!

My Book Report!

So I realize I haven't really posted lately, that's because we are starting a new project on Photo Story. We are doing a book report. My book is The Melting of Maggie Bean. It's about an overweight girl and her friend Aimee. Aimee is a very supportive friend, a really good athlete, but she is doing pretty bad in school. So, the point of this book is that Aimee wants Maggie, the chocoholic, to join the Water Wings, the school syncro swim club, but Maggie is REALLY self conscious about her weight. She ends up using excuses like homework when Aimee pleads her to join with her. But is that really her only reason?? No, Maggie's father lost his job, so he is at home alot... When he decides to put Maggie in Pound Patrollers, a local weight-loss club, with her Aunt Violetta, Maggie is a total wreck. When she realizes that she wants to join the Water Wings, she literally starves herself, and overworks herself down in weight from her old 186 to a 170, she is sure she can make it on the team. Well after she froze herself practising routine in Mud Puddle Lake, behind her Pound Patrollers friend Arnie's cabin, starved herself, and literally also worked herself to death (aka busted her butt) just to fit into the Water Wings silver, two piece uniform... she knew she could make it... That didn't happen though, after busting her butt, she didn't make it! Aimee did, but she didn't... At the part in the book that I'm at, Maggie gives up on EVERYTHING! She goes back to her old weight a 186, after eating all the candy and chocolate she could. She just let go... Everything gone. I wouldn't be able to do that... But I am totally sucked into this book. Ya know what? You should read this as soon as I'm done!!

Earth Day...

Hey, Guess what? Today is Earth Day so pitch in and help out with the cleaning. There are a lot of way you can help save the Earth! Two ways are if you cut the soda can rings and if you pick up your litter! So, today if you get the chance go out and clean up your yard, your school yard, the parks or even just around your city....

That's right! Go! Now! Save the EARTH!!!

Brandon Bluefins.....

On the Friday I left for Brandon with my friend Joyce. We were headed out for the Brandon Bluefins Summer Splash swim meet. It was fun but a realllllly long drive for me... We had fun but I didn't feel that good on Sunday night. I swam all my finals because I AM MAJOR FAST... Just kidding. Altogether I swam 50's and 100's and I got......... 3 medals and 1 sixth ribbon! I got 2 bronze medals and 1 silver! The sixth is in a swim that I thought I got 1st in..... 50 FLY!

Easter Dance...

It was AWESOME... but really short! We had our Easter Dance right before Spring Break. I thought it was a lot of fun. They played Untouched and when they played it.... we ROCKED OUT.... lol I thought it was a good song, but you can have your opinions!

Spring Break....

Alright, for Spring Break I really am not doing anything or for a fact I haven't really done anything. A couple things that I have done are...

1. I went to Mackenzie's Birthday Party. We watched Marley and Me, then we went to Mack's room and played Truth or Dare and ended up Prank Calling people.



2. I went to my cousin Sheldon's house were for the younger kids we had an Easter Egg hunt, I played with their new puppy, ( Shih Tzu/Maltese mix) Tugs, who was totally adorable and then my cousin's daughter (first cousin once removed?) and I were dancing around in Sheldon's Basement...

And that's really all that's happened. But coming up on the weekend of the 18th/19th I'm in Brandon for a swim meet!! i think it'll be LOTS of fun because we are driving Joyce to Brandon!!! I can't wait!

My Little Incident...

Here's the deal. Friday after school I had a two hour swim practise, and I really didn't eat before I left. Not smart!! The problem was that we were doing 24x25m IMO sprints and I lasted about 8 of the 25's... My shoulders started hurting. So, my coach, Jen, said that she would get the knots out... She said she thinks I'm on steroids for growing so much!! What a silly idea... Oh well, the rest of the story goes like this...
After Jen finished with me and my stupid shoulders, Me, being the way I am, decided to all out sprint the next couple of sprints. I lasted about 4 of them and then when I finished fly... I couldn't get out and I might have hit my head on the side of the pool! When I got out I struggled to walk because I was shaking so much. I lasted til the flags which was only about five steps away and... I literally fell right beside my coach. She said for me to just sit there, but I managed to get to the bleachers without killing myself. My coaches said that it was either from working so hard or... from low blood sugar. So I sat out the rest of practise...

That's what happened Friday night. Which I call My Little Incident!

When we were at a swim meet, Libby and I, were being all crazy and asking if it knew who we were, about doorknobs, squeaky fruit and for fun we were asking about our coach Monty. The reason it was funny is an inside joke and cannot be told... Dun Dun DA!! You want to know now don't you...

Okay about a month ago I was stretching out before practise, with the stretch that I was doing it involved using the floor to stretch my shoulders. So, I got down and crossed my arms and pushed down, as I was supposed to. The problem was that I fell forward and then felt this HUGE pain where my sternum was. As insane as I am, I left it until last Saturday, after practise when I was in sooo much pain I was crying my eyes out. So, we went to the doctor and he said that I sprained a muscle right where my sternum is....
That's where Sadie, Ethan, Libby, Morgan, Erik and my coach Monty come in saying...

That was such a long weekend!!! Starting Friday, I was in Regina for a championship swim meet (ManSask). It was lots of fun because it was an open meet. That means that people from allover can come if they have a qualifying time! The swim teams that I never swam against who came were:

These Clubs come from allover! That is why I mostly like this meet. The other reason I liked it was because it was a bigger competition then always racing Regina and Saskatoon.

The part I didn't like was that it was REALLY long, I had finals a lot, and I was an alternate swimmer for my best race!! I was really mad!!

Podcasts!!

Okay here we go! A podcast is like a radio show on the computer. They are easy to listen to and sometimes fun, unless they are about difficult mathematical questions. No offense Mr. O! The two that I listened to we're like a monthly broadcast. One was about volleyball, Thanksgiving and it had some jokes while the other was about their Spring Fair, Women's History Month and it also had some jokes. If I did a podcast, as like everything else, I would talk about swimming, friends, and whatever else was happening in life.

St. Patricks Day!!!

GREEN!!! That is what I think when I think about St. Patrick's Day! I think that's what it's all about. Other than the fact that I'm actually a quarter Irish, and St. Patrick's Day is originally from Ireland.

At school, we all dressed in GREEN. I have quite a bit of green so it was an easy day. The one thing was that I wore Capri pants when it was like -10 or -15!!

JOYCE IS BACK!!!

I am soooo HAPPY! Joyce came back from LA on Saturday, but when I saw her last night I went CRAZY! My coach said to me:
"Lauran! I am warning you once and only once. Don't fool around all night, Okay???'
I said I would so then I went crazy on the insides. It was really funny because all night I was bouncing up and down and singing and my friends weren't sure what to think!!!!! Te He! If I was bad then what do you think is going to happen in ManSask?!?!

Guess What? We got report cards yesterday! My marks were sooooo high! My average was:

Hey! Just the other day we skyped with Alex, our blog mentor! It was really cool because to her we were tiny specks, and to us since we had her face on our Promethean smart board... No offense,but Alex but your face was just a little big on the screen. Oh well.... she told us how to download our book reports that we did on the macs, then how to get them on to our blogs!! It was cool. Some of the kids in my class had to get a YouTube account to put their vids on their blogs. I got one anyway... I think it's awesome!

Results from Regina...

Just got back from a swim meet in Regina on the weekend. It was REALLY long! I had a lot of fun hanging with Libby, Krystal, Stephanie, Maddy, Erik, Mark, Ethan, Kendal and Chelsea. On Saturday, we played volleyball when we were waiting for swims, but on Sunday we weren't aloud to! My least favourite part was getting disqualified in 50m Breaststroke and in one of my races, when after I dived in the pool I accidentally hit the bottom... with my face! I assure you I am okay...... No need to worry!

Back to Therapy...

Shoulder therapy, that is......

Well it's back the wrath of the shoulder ultrasound sessions.... I'll tell you one thing, when I went before... All I can say is man that ultrasound thing can get hot!! And I mean BURNING!!!!!!!! I guess it all pays off though. I lasted about at least a month without hurting but now I'm falling apart. Here are the things that hurt:

1. My shoulders
2. My back
3. My knee's
4. My ankles
5. My wrists

And more!!! I'll tell ya how it goes....

Fish....

I kill fish.... What I mean is whenever I get a pet goldfish it gets killed killed somehow!!! And the weird thing is we never know why! So my sister gets all worked up about a fish that we've had for like two days! It got so demented that now I'm not even aloud to have a fish!!! Tee Hee.... In guidance, my card says I will be a vet.... how long before I get sued for accidentally killing someones fish.... Tee Hee. Oops!!! Bye!

ManSask

In March. I have two swim meets. One is a fun-get-your-times meet. This is just one of the Regina meets that happen every month. It's called the Regina Olympian and the other one ... well... it's sorta like a championship swim meet. It's ones called Man/Sask. I have wanted to go in this since I found out about it. Last summer I thought that I would've made it to Man/Sask but I was just short on a couple swims.

Now that I can go to Man/Sask though, my coach sometimes just won't give up on me. I know it's his job not to, but sometimes I wish I could know what life would be like without swimming. But not now! Maybe a little later in life. For all I know, if I thought about taking a long break... I'd be DEAD!! ManSask wouldn't happen! Especially because I would be totally out of shape and sore. Almost like now... except for the out of shape part!!! never tell me I'm out of shape!! I get really mad! Just Kidding. Sometimes I just don't like it... But who would like someone telling them that they are out of shape?!?1?

My Break.... Not So Good.....

Winter Break... It sucked! I didn't do anything while some of my friends went to Mexico, Costa Rica, somewhere tropical, to a different province or at least a different town... I stayed in my house like all Winter Break!!! The worst part was that my parents kept nagging me to exercise because I have two swim meets this month and it drove me up the wall. The best though was that I hung out with Libby and we went to Pink Panther 2. It was really funny but I wouldn't say that I loved it..... Then when we got back from break yesterday at swimming my shoulders were all sore here we go again....

VALENTINE'S DANCE!!!

 Heyy! Yesterday night we had our Valentine's Dance. It was totally awesome!!! My legs hurt but it was so worth it. I danced with tons of people but mostly in small groups. Chance, Brenn, Levi, Nathan, Dakin, Ethan, Kael and Carson were party animals from beyond. Out of the Grade 7's, I danced with Chance, Nathan, Dakin the most, but mostly Chance. Out of Grade 6's I danced with Kael, Carson, Nolan, Spenser, Garrett, Aaryon, and all my girlfriends!! Cortni and I wish that we had an after school dance every night. That would rock!!!!

SLC Recognition Lunch!

Mmmmm..... Pizza and Ice Cream Sandwiches! That's what the school volunteers (phone workers, announcers, sign workers...etc.) got yesterday at lunch for being such good little workers. It was lots of fun and we had a blast. The funniest part was that Alexis and I went for the same piece and I ended up getting one with a bubble in it. It was totally hilarious when I said:

"Is this healthy? What if I end of dying for the piece of pizza with the bubble?!?!"

Then out of nowhere Teigan says:

"No your going to die in the next minute..." That guy is just the most sarcastic person I think I've ever met.

Oh well... I'm still feelin' alive, isn't that all that matters? Just kidding... Te He!

Didn't Like It!!

When we went to Willy Wonka, I wasn't sure what to think. Chocolate, Charlie.... but as this play went on I just hated it more. No Offense. It was just that I had a little kid on my one side that kept asking me really stupid questions, the kids infront of me sat on their knee's, and I just didn't like it! The dumbest thing was that there was singing every minute!!!! Now, who can stand that for 60-80 minutes! Who could....seriously???? Ohh well... we got to take pictures on the bus, listen to our MP3's, and just have fun.....On the bus atleast!!

5:15am... Swim practice the next morning?? That can't be good!

"Yes... I'm comparing you to my sister!" That is what I said to Jaxyn at Caisia's Sleepover Party on Friday. It was the most fun I've had in years!! No I'm kidding... In my 11 yr. old life!!!
Candy. That is all we ate almost all night. Mike and Ikes, Chocolate Hearts, Sugar Hearts, and more Mike and Ikes! And I mean two BIG boxes! Alexis was chewing like mad and we all cracked up!!! It was hilarious.....
We watched The Titanic, Mamma Mia and then when Caisia fell asleep in Mamma Mia, Alexis, Ceanna and I played Fire in a Barnyard, Truth or Dare and Would You Rather.... These games got a little crazy though. No details, to crazy.
Then the next morning, we got up at 9:00am because I had to go to the Base for Saturday Morning swim practice. Libby left early so it wasn't very much fun. Plus I was really tired!!!

A Provincials!!!!

CLUNKS!!! That means Crazy Lauran Unleashed New Killer Somersaults!! The reason for that is:

I was in Saskatoon over the weekend for a swim meet and when I was doing my 100m Backstroke...I well... I forgot my flag count and I hit the wall five or six times with my legs, arms, butt and head! The rest of my swims were pretty good, I got 4th in my 200m Breaststroke and 6th in my 100m I.M.. Altogether my favorite race was 100m Freestyle. I got second because one of the girls was faster than me by three seconds!!!! I was soooooo close to getting gold but at least I got silver!!!

Buds Who Play Basketball!!!

Basketball. Friends. I wonder do they go well together?? Sometimes.... when Lexy, Caisia, Laera, Maddie and Cortni play basketball, it gets really hectic! Sometimes I wish I played to but with swimming, my shoulders and the way I play basketball....well that won't work!!!!! So, sometimes I'm a loner on the playground........

The Night with Jay and Tyra

"Let's play make-up!!!" Oy Vay!!! That's all I heard Friday Night, while babysitting. It was sorta a last minute job. Joyce had to go to her sleepover in her school gym for volleyball. So, I went to go over to my dad to ask him for some money for a snack after swimming, as soon as I got there Sabine asked me to babysit. So... I said: sure!!! And that's how I ended up with Jay and Tyra on my Friday night!! Hey, at least I got paid $20.00!!

Music and Skating. Now that sounds like fun! Through school we have been going skating, sure my skates cut my legs, I get helmet hair, and the rink smells bad, but it's fun. The only parts that I really do not like are it's cold, we have to walk to the rink and I keep forgetting I have my skate guards on when I step onto the ice!!! Now as you can tell, I'm a really klutz.

Libby and Lauran

Alright on the weekend, my friend Libby and I spent ALL of Saturday together. At first, because everyone else had to go to the weight room orientation, Libby and I had the WHOLE base pool to ourselves. We wanted to use just one out of the five lanes, but Mika wouldn't let us.... After we swam and fooled around, I went to Libby's house and we ate pita's. Then she changed for Basketball and I talked to her mom. After talking for a while we went to Lib's basketball game. She won, scored half the points and totally impressed me. She's such a good little player.

Later that day at about..... 7:20pm, Libby and I went to Paul Blart Mall Cop. It was SO Funny!!! I think I'll go to see it again sometime.

Snow......

Snow. What is wrong with it?? I think it hates me.... no.... well..... yeah. Whenever I'm driving with someone, somewhere there's always a blizzard, snowstorm or it's doing something to drive me insane. Why me??? Does it have to snow in winter???? I must be insane to think that!! What do you think????

Change in Plans and My Results!!

Okay, are you ready for it?!?! I swam on the weekend and I did really good. My time was 3:05.22! The best time was 2:28.00 something. So mines a pretty decent time, at least I got an "AA" time!! That was my goal and I reached it!!
The only way I was aloud to go to this meet was if I did only one swim and if my shoulder wasn't killing me to the point I was balling but I did really good anyway!! It was an awesome meet! I stayed until 8:45pm in Regina with my friend Libby, even though I was done at 2:30pm and she was done at 6:30pm. We stayed and watched he brother Ryder play soccer. The score was 3-1!!!! It was so funny because Ryder was goalie so Libby and I sat behind the net saying:
"Hey Ryder! Whatcha doing on this fine day??" He just shook his head and laughed!!! Ha Ha Ha!!!

Oh well, I'm in Saskatoon next weekend from Friday night till Sunday night!! Yay!! BYE!!!

No Meets for 2 Months!!!!!!

It just got even worse..... My coach says that I can't go to swim meets because of the stupid shoulder problem I have!!! I totally hate it. I can't go to any of the meets I wanted to, and everyone else does!!! Especially because "A" Provincials are coming up, and I can't go. They're in 2 weeks! I wish that I was just able to go and get surgery, instead of all these ultrasounds. Ultrasounds are supposed to strengthen tissue and soothe the muscles. Well, right now we are only doing my right. LEFT IS LITERALLY KILLING ME!!!! McMaster says he wants to wait to see if the one feels better. Is he kidding???? I really wanted to just want to get both done!!

MAJOR SHOULDER ISSUES!!!!!

OUCH!!! That is all you can really here coming from me right now and for the past couple months. I went to Dr. G.R. McMaster's place.... By over using my shoulders I have developed Tendonosis in my Rotator Cuff!!! It gets really sore, so sore that surgery could be in my future. OUCH!!! I have gone for two massage treatments and one ultrasound treatment. The initial visit to the massage therapist really helped. I lasted two weeks!! The second didn't go to well. It didn't even last the day!! I got my ultrasound treatment on Friday. We are only starting on one shoulder.... the right! Then if it works then we'll do my left. But, my left shoulder is killing me right now!!!! Oy Vay!!! Now I have to go for Ultrasound twice a week!!!

Dancin' Around in the Gym at Christmas Time!!!

Well, the title says it all! We had our Christmas Dance the day before Christmas Break!! It was off the hook!! That's right, I said it OFF THE HOOK!!! They played So What, Womanizer, Whatever You Like and Love Story. Plus more REALLY good songs. The snowballs were kinda awkward... dancing with the guys in your classes. Now that was weird!! Oh well..... Chance and Thomas were the "FUN" police. Now that explains it all. Especially if you know who I'm talking about!!!

PS Before the dance we were on the laptop all day!!!!(morning?) And for lunch we got McDonald's!!!

Drunk with Soda and Potato Chips....

5...4...3...2...1... HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! Then toasts, kisses and hugs follow. That's what happened at Midnight on Wednesday and 12:01 am on Thursday. Problem was I think I drank a bit... no a lot of soda and kinda went crazy til about 11pm. Then I started eating potato chips.... It was all downhill from there.....

A different version is.... I was literally babysitting 10 kids on New Years Eve!!! They were all hyped on sugar (Parents were upstairs!) The one kid broke my sister's, friends, mom's dish. I just burst! I had a fit. I literally yelled!! I stormed up the stairs but as soon as I got into the room I was like:

" Oh my gosh.... Lynda, Sam broke the chip dish. He picked it up and it broke. It was an accident and all... but it's the one you said was your favorite!!!" His mom came downstairs and asked him what happened. They left about 3 hours later because it was REALLY late!

And I woke up the next day at 2pm!!!

Christmas Break..... Kinda Boring???

Okay what do you think??? I am totally bored and it's only 2 days after we got out of school. It seems like at least 4 days since we left the place, that some people call "school". Tee Hee Hee!!! So what can I do to "spice up" my vacation?? Give me ideas!!!!

A Storybook Christmas!!!!

Lights! Camera! Action! At school we had a Christmas concert/play. There was one at 1:00pm and one at 7:30pm. A Storybook Play is about an 8 year old girl named Kim who is at home with her Grandpa. Kim gets very worried when her parents call and say they are stopping in Davidson at the A&W til the visibility is better. Kim's grandfather tells Kim Christmas stories to pass the time. My favourite parts were:

I was Kim in the 1:00 pm show, Peter Pan's Christmas and the Alvin and the Chipmunks dance!!!

No Buses, but Tons of GUMMY BEARS!!!!!

 "Gimme some!!!!!" That is all I heard after we were at the computer lab on Monday. By we I mean five of us. Stephanie, Brooke, Mackenzie, Spenser and little old me!!!!! When we were in the lab we did scavenger hunts on the computer. I won 2 little boxes of Smarties and 3 gummy bears. And here's where it all happened.......

  We just got back from the lab, plus we had just finished our little prizes when we found out we had to stay in. It was - 40 outside so I guess I can see why. Mackenzie and I started down the hall still a little hungry, so we went to Miss Olson and asked if we could have a few more gummies. She gave us the WHOLE TUB!!!! When we brought it back, Steph and Brooke started stuffing their faces and pockets. So, that's when "Gimme some!!!!" comes in. Mack and I yelled that till we got some!!! But oh my.... we finished that tub in about 5 minutes!!!! And, it was quite the tub of gummies. 

CBC Book contest!!!

Rules. That's the book I won in the My Favourite Book Contest for CBC Radio. I read the whole book over the weekend. It was really good. It was about a girl named Catherine with a special needs brother named David. David goes to therapy almost everyday, that's when she meets Jason. Jason is a mute boy who goes to therapy on the same day as Catherine's brother, except Jason goes to get cards in his communication book and to get speech therapy. Throughout the book, Catherine makes cards for Jason's book. Cards, that his therapist wouldn't make him like Whatever for being sarcastic, Ugly and Stupid for his therapist, Music for music and Girlfriend for whoever he chose. Turned out it was Catherine. Take this book out and read it!!!!

RYMM SWIM MEET!!!

I had an awesome swim meet in Regina on the weekend. I got first in my 50 FR and a 3rd,4th ,9th and 13th. It was really fun. We swam all day and I got 4 AA times and 1 A time. That is one of the best things you can do!!!! I now qualify to go to PWI in Winnipeg and to go to PA for a swim meet, but they are both in the same weekend. So, I had to pick. But my mom and dad won't let me go to either. UGHHHHH!!! Tee hee hee!!!

It comes 3 times a year and most of us don't like it...

What comes 3 times a school year and most students don't like it???? Parent Teacher INTERVIEWS!!!! Yes... it was that time of year, Parent Teacher Interview season. Yes most of us don't like it , but I partially liked it. I got NO complaints and NO comments. So it was good. I can't believe it but it was one of the best interviews I've had.... Amazing, hey??

It wouldn’t seem possible to do better than a slate of personal best times, but four swimmers from the Moose Jaw Kinsmen Flying Fins did that recently. The Fins swimmers not only posted personal bests in every swim, but they collected a series of A and AA times as well.

“As a coach I was quite impressed. I got goose bumps. It was an awesome performance,” said Fins coach Monty S. “For the first meet of the season I was quite impressed with all of our performances there.”

Lauran A., Joyce A., Sadie S. and Keegan E. all attended the Swift Current provincial B qualifier two weeks ago. Since the Beijing Olympic Games, Swim Canada has adjusted their benchmark times — newly re-named A and AA — to reflect advancements in competition. “Not only is Saskatchewan changing, but other provinces too, we’re trying to get on the same board as Swim Canada and they’ve released a new set of times since the Beijing Olympics,” said Monty.

Swift Current Swim Meet!!!!

Guess What?????? I am a total swim diva!!!!! I got 4th in my 400m FR and I find out what I got in my 200m IM in a rewards ceremony in Regina some time soon. Plus another thing....... I have a swim meet in Regina on the weekend!!!!!! Yay!! I'm swimming all my 50's and my 200m FR!!!! Oh yeah!!!

Bullying Bites!!!! Don't Go For It!!!!

Have you ever been bullied??????? I have!!!! Last year at my old school, I got bullied everyday..... And that is something I DO NOT and WILL NOT joke about. There are three types of bullying: Verbal, Social and Physical. I, being someone who was in the victim's position went how many days when it was just my friend and I. but because she was hanging out with me she got bullied too. So when she left me I had a mental and physical breakdown. Not kidding....... The worst part is, the teachers didn't do anything about it! They just said:
" Just tell them to stop and it will all go away." or " come back to me when it happens again." That isn't my idea of what I would want a teacher to do or say. You'd think that a teacher would try to do something....... but at least it's over now that I moved schools.
Big Idea: I moved because of it. I couldn't handle it anymore. It lasted three years!!!!!
Another BIG idea: DON'T BULLY!!! STAND UP!!!!!

Rememberance Day

Today at school we had our Remembrance Day Ceremony. Lexy and Cortni signed O Canada while we were singing. A man from the Legion came and talked about WW1 and WW2. Then the choir sang three songs. We sang God Save The Queen. It was really nice. Lots of sitting and standing but nice.......

Mrs. Lothian and Career Building!!!!!!

Yesterday Mrs. Lothian, the career building consultant, came to show us about Bridges. Bridges is about showing kids about jobs and building your career. We all took a crazy little test. It was about how some jobs are just a little to goofy....... like Celebrity Squirrel Chauffeur. Then we took a realistic quiz that gave you some jobs you'd be good at. My top three favorites were:

1. Journalist

2. Sports Agent

3. News Anchor

But I would really like to go to the Olympics with my swimming!!!!

Leaf Art!!!

In class we made Leaf Art from tracing leaves onto paper. Then you had to put little circles on the inside to make it look like little molecules. It got pretty annoying. But we are done now..... YAY!!
